2009 Fishing Season

Here we go again, were back for another fishing season on Nantucket. I have been looking forward to getting back on Island and doing some fishing. Report has it bass are already being caught and the tunas should not be to far behind. Just a recap from last season; bluefishing was consistent throughout the season, Striper fishing was OK with a couple world class days, the tunas were amazing and the bonito forgot about us. What to expect this season; Steady blues, bigger bass but not as many smaller ones, much bigger tunas, and I have no idea about the bonito and the albies. I sure hope the bones make a good showing. For those who I have fished with before, everything is the same as it always has been, same dock, same slip, same boat. For those who are new, I fish out of the westend of the island, the Squaretail is dock at Madaket Marine and she is in slip E5. I look forward to spending a day on the water with you, to book a charter give me a call at 603-498-9518 or send me an email at captshawn@mac.com. Check back often as I will be updating reports bi-weekly. See you on the Rip!
