Still Catching Stripers!!
The bass fishing continues to be really good. The water temps have stayed low with the tough weather which has kept the striped bass around. Some notable catches over the past 2 weeks are: Chris Battis, 38#, Craig Belcher, 41#, Jake(not sure on last name), 40.5#. All fish were caught on spinning gear. In addition to these fish, 15 fish over 30#’s have been landed in the past 2 weeks. The bluefishing is standard right now, with loads of them on the south side and little ones on the north side. The bluefin’s have a little picky this past week, we went 0-2 last Tuesday and 0-4 this past Saturday, at least we are getting some bites. Well, there is the quick report, the bass fishing should continue through this week and then start to slow down, hopefully the bonito show themselves this year…
