Who is Captain Shawn?
Capt. Shawn grew up on the seacoast of New Hampshire fishing in local ponds for smallmouth bass and trout. He spent his summers fishing for pike, largemouth bass and perch on Lake Champlain in northern Vermont. During his teenage years he began fishing the beaches and inshore waters of Nantucket, Massachusetts.While primarily a spin fisherman by nature Capt. Shawn began saltwater fly fishing in 1996, taking to the technique quickly. He now commercially ties flies for several local outfitters and is also an avid custom rod builder, creating his own custom design specific to the demanding waters of Nantucket. Checkout Capt. While focusing primarily on light tackle fishing around Nantucket and Cape Lookout, Capt. Shawn is well versed in almost all fishing methods. Whether it is sight casting to striped bass in Nantucket, jigging for grouper and amberjack in North Carolina, or live baiting for sailfish and dolphin in Florida, Capt. Shawn will make every effort to make your fishing experience one that lasts a life time.
